The surface treatment of metals takes place through deposits of Silver, Gold, Tin, Copper and Nickel. We specialize in the silvering and gilding of decorative and technical items (valves, nuts, fittings, etc.). We have two systems, one of which is specifically designed for the deposition of silver, tin and thick copper for electrical, mechanical and electromechanical parts.
silver plating
The characteristics of the coatings (hardness, thickness, color, crystalline grain, etc.) depend strictly on the composition of the bath, the temperature, the electrical conditions and any mechanical housing.
gold plating
Direct gold plating on steel is also called stainless steel free golding as it does not require a nickel substrate. Doratura Manerbiese performs golding on steel for large dimensions too, as our technique and experience has led us to gild, for example, steel plates, steel sheets, profiles and frames.
nickel plating
Nickel plating is a galvanic treatment that consists in the conversion of the anode’s Nickel into Nickel ions. The nickel ions pass through the nickel plating solution and discharge on the surface of the nickel plating piece (cathode), where they are converted back into metallic nickel.
Black nickel plating
Black Nickel Plating is used for decorative purposes as it does not have high protection qualities due to the thin deposits that are made. It also gives the treated surfaces an unmistakable glossy and black appearance that can be best appreciated on cadmium and zinc objects.
copper plating
Copper plating as a metal protection process plays a very used and important role as although it does not provide a protective coating, it constitutes an optimal intermediate layer for the subsequent processing: Nickel plating.
tin plating
Electrolytic tin can be performed on various types of articles. This is due to its characteristics, the characteristics of its organic composites, its harmless towards food substances and its weldability.
